EyeCreate Spaces ("we", "us", "our") operates a bioluminescent social network and creative studio platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using EyeCreate Spaces, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address — used for authentication, verification, and account recovery
• Display name and handle — your public identity on the platform
• Profile bio, avatar, and banner — optional public profile content
• Authentication tokens — session tokens for keeping you signed in

Content You Create

• Posts, Moments, EyeCasts, and comments you publish
• Photos and videos you upload (stored as file URLs)
• Messages and conversations you participate in
• Studio drafts, identity seeds, and creative assets

Usage and Device Data

• IP address and user agent (logged for security audits)
• Interaction data (reactions, views, engagement metrics)
• Camera and microphone access — only when you actively use the Creator Studio

Payment Information

• When you make a purchase (EyePoints, memberships, fundraisers), payment is processed by our payment provider (Base44 Payments / Wix Payments). We do not store your full card details — only transaction records and order IDs.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate your sessions
• To display your public profile and content to other users
• To process payments, payouts, and fundraiser donations
• To send service notifications (messages, mentions, security alerts)
• To moderate content and enforce community guidelines
• To improve platform features, performance, and safety
• To comply with legal obligations and audit requirements

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these circumstances:

• Public content: Posts, Moments, and profile information you publish are visible to other users per your visibility settings
• Service providers: Payment processing, file storage, and email delivery partners — under data processing agreements
• Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with notice)

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Specific retention periods:

• Security audit logs (AuthLog): 2 years
• Admin audit logs (AuditLog): 5 years
• Financial transaction records: 7 years (legal compliance)
• Moderation records: 5 years
• User content: retained until you delete it or your account

6. Your Privacy Rights

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update inaccurate profile information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data (see Data Deletion Instructions)
• Data export: Receive your data in a portable format before deletion
• Opt-out: Disable notifications, restrict profile visibility, or deactivate your profile

7. Children's Privacy

EyeCreate Spaces offers a Kids mode for users under 18, linked to a parent account. Parental consent is required, and parents can monitor activity, approve friends, and manage payouts. Kids content is filtered for safety. We do not knowingly collect data from children without parental consent.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: encrypted authentication tokens, row-level security on all database records, secure file storage, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. Camera and Microphone Access

The Creator Studio uses your device camera and microphone only when you actively open the studio and grant permission. Camera streams are processed locally for live filters and effects. Media is uploaded only when you choose to publish or save a creation.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
